While temperature plays a more significant role in affecting the barrier properties of BOPP film, humidity still warrants consideration. In a warehouse environment, particularly one with elevated humidity levels, there is a greater likelihood of moisture absorption by the packaged products.
It is imperative to maintain warehouse humidity levels at a maximum of 60%. Excessive humidity can lead to an increase in the water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) of BOPP films. Consequently, this can result in a shortened shelf life for the films.
